Project 365 Day 36 Hidden Treasure

I've seen this church during the drive to Central station and around that area, but had never bothered to read up on it. Few weeks ago, during an event, i saw a picture of St Andrew;s church [kirk] on the wall and immediately asked my cousin and did some digging on the net as well..

What a hidden treasure this is... The next time i drove by, i paused to click a picture of this place... Beautiful... need to make a visit to explore the grounds and the church...

Info about the church from the net:
St.Andrew's Church, more popularly referred to as 'Kirk' is situated across the Gandhi Irwin Road, Egmore, Chennai. The church has a 200-year old history behind it. It is one of the oldest 'living churches' in the world. The church was specially built for the Scottish community serving in the East India Company at that time. The fa├žade resembles St Martin-in-the-Fields in London.
